Lock off strength training is all about holding three distinct positions of the pull up, I call this positions 135, 90 and 0 degrees. Watch the video to see demonstrations of each. If you want to compete on american ninja warrior or any variations of get better at rock climbing training then lock offs are something you need to get very good at.
